To let the flame within my heart

From faraway worlds I came,
In love for this earth, in Love for the human beings,
I created a bond with the moon, the one who is most similar to me.
The companion in dark times, she sines bright for all dark souls,

Regret holds me
Ties me down
Makes me hurt

At the oddest times
It hits the hardest
Causing tears to fall

Pain tears at me
Squeezing my heart
Leaving me breathless

You might say that we are different,

When I am born,
I always see a closed door,
Who left it open?

Praying Through The Motions

Long before I took aim and notice,
Control seemed to reject me.
Leaving my hands to a dust storm,
Where they would find only cactus and vermin.
Once in sky blue moon, with a hint of cosmos,
An Oasis would find weary eyes.
There would be the particular tale,
Later entitled, "Too Good to be True."

A bitter stumble on my tired and broken feet,
Beneath the shadow of the valley of bad luck,
Where evil was all I ever found.
Where only two hands guided my own...
Here was a crack in the dust bowl,
Where piece of Heaven laid me to bits of rest.
Though I was never wicked, my blood was,
And therefore until drained,
then true rest was to evade my grasp

By Luck and a Loving Eye

Why stop in the place where I know I am only to be devoured?
As dark & cold as this wretched place, I would never accept as my grave.

There is no path on a unpaved road of improvisation. I follow the crumbs of ancient bread, onwards past growling fiends and the eyes of evil.

I bare the marks of one who has found the morbid experiences of existence. Healing is but a formality that I tend to allow, yet not always.

The cycles are made to run their age old courses, with constant and spontaneous tests to accompany my walk to a worthy Shepherd, whose face I am forbidden to see.

Unworthy, the all vigilant eyes that notice the fine print. Yet un

and the Wild Host descends upon my house
the Barrow-Wights released from slumber
with Woden at their head.
For dust calls up and the Blood demands an answer
in mighty circles nine Worlds spin,
so pausing with the Age of the Wolf
according to Holy Wisdom’s wiles.

Tilt your head and listen
as the Song of the Dead rings out
what frightens the young and draws out the bold
puts its masque on a thousand sounds.

The howling of the Varg,
the pounding of the Etin-drum,
the hring-ring timing of the Dwarven smithy,
and the sound of Heimdall’s horn
have all been cast into the Wind
and added to the Hym

UrbanThe broken paving stones provide a niche within an unforgiving world,

Tenacious weeds have multiplied around these narrow opportunities

these stringy plants are fitted for survival against the odds, each one

pitching its separate claim to life. Beneath the ruptured slabs, spindle

filaments of roots seek sustenance in gritty soil, dark and moist. in pockets

Too shallow for the ornate costumes of the pampered rose.

No horticultural art is practiced here, in this harsh universe

resources must be hoarded, so close to the void of the lifeless these survivors

grow. For them the season of flowering is brief:

Bending mortals into those who crave their every whim and desire.
Her whispers entail destruction by unconscious action to
Those who abuse her blessings. She considers them unworthy.

But there are those who seek her, not for personal pleasure but
For solidifying a philosophy they consider moral and true.
But will their words be put into action? She challenges all,
Whose actions firmly testify their beliefs.

A cruel temptress yet a benevolent giver, she tests all..
Centuries pass, yet those who were granted her blessings
Succumb to an even worse fate, only time will dictate

Eines Nachts hatte ich einen Traum:
Ich ging am Meer entlang mit meinem Herrn.
Vor dem dunklen Nachthimmel
erstrahlten, Streiflichtern gleich,
Bilder aus meinem Leben.
Und jedes Mal sah ich zwei Fußspuren im Sand,
meine eigene und die meines Herrn.
Als das letzte Bild an meinen Augen
vorüber gezogen war, blickte ich zurück.
Ich erschrak, als ich entdeckte,
dass an vielen Stellen meines Lebensweges
nur eine Spur zu sehen war.
Und das waren gerade die schwersten
Zeiten meines Lebens.

Besorgt fragte ich den Herrn:
„Herr, als ich anfing, dir nachzufolgen,
da hast du mir versprochen,
auf allen Wegen bei mir zu sein.
Aber jetzt entdecke ich,
dass in den schwersten Zeiten meines Lebens
nur eine Spur im Sand zu sehen ist.
Warum hast du mich allein gelassen,
als ich dich am meisten brauchte?"

Da antwortete er: „Mein liebes Kind,
ich liebe dich und werde dich nie allein lassen,
erst recht nicht in Nöten und Schwierigkeiten. Dort, wo du nur eine Spur
gesehen hast,
da habe ich dich getragen."

Footprints in the Sand

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamt he waswalking with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes of his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand; one belonged to him,
and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there
was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it had
happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered the man and he questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during
the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why,
when I needed you most, you would leave me."

The Lord replied,
"My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
